Christopher

Did you know that the Peak District was Britain’s first national park?

With an honour such as this one, who wouldn’t want to go and visit its pure beauty?

One of the simplest and most effortless choices is to spend quality time with your loved ones. As you might know, the little ones can get bored very easily. So to ensure that both the parents and the kids can have a fantastic and fun time, we have compiled a list of some of the great activities to do with the family.

FOR THE ANIMAL LOVERS

Take a Walk On The Wild Side!
If you and your family are wildlife enthusiasts, go and visit the Peak Wildlife Park. You will be given the chance to have your kids see some lemurs, penguins, wallabies and much, much more! Find their location, prices and contact details on their website

Leave Your Boot Tracks In The Mud!
Enjoying the scene of the wildlife can be very thrilling and exciting, but meeting and feeding farm animals while exploring the outdoors is a whole other thing! Visit the National Forest Adventure Farm! They have several different activities ranging from go-karting to “jumping pillows,” mini golf – you name it! Find their location, prices and contact details on their website.

FOR THE NATURE WALK AND LANDSCAPE LOVERS

The Earth Has Music For Those Who Listen!
To enjoy the serenity of nature, or to embrace some action and excitement with adventure playgrounds and climbing walls, Trentham Gardens, is the place to go for a refreshing day out! Don’t miss out on their “Monkey Forest,” where the monkeys hang out in total freedom, what a fantastic experience! To explore what else these gardens have to offer, check out Trentham Estate’s website for additional information.

Keep Calm and Attend The Fine Food Market:
If you want to check out the current events of what is happening every week and on the weekend, checkout the Peak District Online’s website! Every third Saturday of the month there is an adorable food market  in Leek (only 10 minutes from most of our Party Houses), where they set up various food demonstrations, as well as some musical entertainment! Great way to embrace the cultural side of the Peak District and just to stroll around and see all that it has to offer!
