UK Holidays at Party Houses

If you want a really special holiday to be shared with special people, UK holidays at Party Houses are designed just for you!

Every Party House is situated in a gorgeous location in the Peak District. There are walks straight from the door and plenty of gardens and fields to play in. As for the Peak District, it really is beautiful, and you can see why it was the first National Park created in the UK. Even better, it is centrally located in the middle of England so accessible within a couple of hours of London, Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds, and Liverpool.

There is so much to do whether the weather is hot and sunny or being less kind. Our Activities and Ideas section on this website lists plenty of options.  For the young, or young at heart; visit Alton Towers, enjoy the Heights of  Abraham, hire cycles, decorate a ceramic pot in the heart of the Potteries or visit a local farm. For those interested in more cultural activities; the great houses of Chatsworth, Haddon Hall, Lyme Park, Kedleston Hall and others are all nearby.

View the famous gardens at Biddulph Grange, experience the festivals in Buxton and Leek or make a trip to a Well Dressing – unique to the Peak District. For those who love a bit more adrenalin; the Peak District is famous as an outdoor playground; from cycling to caving, climbing, hang-gliding, the list goes on – what do you want to do?

Within your Party House, there is lots of space; they are designed to be easy to cater for large numbers of guests and little touches such as the availability of baby baths or ground floor bedrooms and wet rooms for the less mobile, meaning that you can welcome all your friends and family and celebrate the holiday season.

A great family 70th birthday celebration

A family party of 16 ranging in age from 4 to 77 assembled for the week to celebrate a 70th birthday. We loved the cosiness yet with plenty of space, the walled garden where the younger children could play safely, the splendid views and the well appointed kitchen and utility areas where we prepared our evening meals and did our clothes washing. It was also very well situated to explore the Staffordshire Moorlands.

80th Birthday party

We hired Hamps Hall and Barn for a week, for four generations of a family. It suited us perfectly, including one member of our party in a wheelchair. Staff were great to deal with and really wanted to make sure we were happy with all aspects of our stay. Communal areas fantastic, well equipped kitchens and all bedrooms very nice. (Some quieter than others, so bear this in mind when deciding on rooms). Beautiful location and lovely outdoor space. Lots to do in the area. We are already planning another Party House stay.

Fabulous stay. Good facilities.

A friend hired this for her 50th birthday celebrations. What a super place. Spacious, very well equipped kitchen, quiet location. There is a pub within walking distance or a short drive (The Ship Inn) which is very good. There are a number of great walks nearby too.

Great location for a group weekend of fun

A party of 12 of us stayed here for a hen party. Beautiful views and peaceful. The barn is greet, with enough facilities to accommodate 12 women bathroom wise! Spent a lovely afternoon in nearby pub the lazy trout! Would definitely recommend.

Amazing weekend in the fantastic Party Houses Merrymeet cottage!

Just returned from a brilliant weekend in a fantastic cottage, part of the Party Houses group. Merrymeet Cottage is tucked away in a beautiful area, near Waterhouses, on the outskirts of Ashbourne. It’s a brilliant property that worked really well for our family birthday get-together/reunion and there were 20 of us! Plenty of space for everyone (including a few younger children on blow up mattresses in bedrooms) and a really social living room and dining room.
