Fun weekend in the Peak District
The Barn was wonderful, it had everything we needed, it was very warm, two fridges to keep all our drinks chilled, very large kitchen, very comfortable beds, the staff was very helpful in the booking process, couldn’t have asked for more!
Great venue for my 30th birthday party – perfect for sociable types!
I had a great three-night stay at Toft Hall (not in Toft!) for my 30th birthday party weekend. The venue is large, suitably remote and easily accommodates everyone both in terms of sleeping and socialising downstairs. There is more than enough kitchen and storage space for food, drink and cooking, and a huge dining table. Or, if you prefer a pub lunch, two or three pubs in walkable distance.
The master bedroom is by far the largest, with the others – both double and twin – medium sized. Taller people probably shouldn’t sleep on the second floor because of the beautiful, if low-hanging, beams. But full of quirks that give the place the character that make it a lovely destination.
A great family 70th birthday celebration
A family party of 16 ranging in age from 4 to 77 assembled for the week to celebrate a 70th birthday. We loved the cosiness yet with plenty of space, the walled garden where the younger children could play safely, the splendid views and the well appointed kitchen and utility areas where we prepared our evening meals and did our clothes washing. It was also very well situated to explore the Staffordshire Moorlands.
80th Birthday party
We hired Hamps Hall and Barn for a week, for four generations of a family. It suited us perfectly, including one member of our party in a wheelchair. Staff were great to deal with and really wanted to make sure we were happy with all aspects of our stay. Communal areas fantastic, well equipped kitchens and all bedrooms very nice. (Some quieter than others, so bear this in mind when deciding on rooms). Beautiful location and lovely outdoor space. Lots to do in the area. We are already planning another Party House stay.

A friend hired this for her 50th birthday celebrations. What a super place. Spacious, very well equipped kitchen, quiet location. There is a pub within walking distance or a short drive (The Ship Inn) which is very good. There are a number of great walks nearby too.
