Ideally situated, cannot fault it!
We hired Chels and Toft Barns for a colleagues retirement party for a weekend. The surroundings are perfect, situated on the edge of the Peak District with so much on offer it’s more a case of narrowing it down to fit it all in. With so much space, the rooms are only used for sleeping in, the living rooms are well equipped and comfortable and a huge dining room enabled The Dinner Party Company to cook us all a terrific meal on Saturday night (also extremely highly rated – well priced and superb food) so we could celebrate together in private.
The Royal Oak pub was also very welcoming and gave some a lift home – there’s service.
Stag party at Merrymeet
Just a note to say thank you to party houses for helping me find a great venue for our stag party. Everyone had a brilliant weekend and the merrymeet was an excellent house – perfect location and setup for us. Great kitchen facilities for a large group, big living room which we used for a disco, fantastic games room for table tennis and table football. All bedrooms were good and there were plenty of bathrooms for a group of 15.
We stayed in April at Hamps Hall and barn for a joint stag and hen party. The house was absolutely perfect for what we wanted and everyone had a fabulous time!
The boys were in the barns and the girls in the hall so there was enough separation when we wanted it but we all came together to have a party in the big space in the barn each night and was great having enough room for us all to eat together in the dining room as well.
All the rooms were really nice and beds comfy. The kitchens were well supplied with all the glassware/pots/pans/plates you need to entertain 40 people for a weekend and there were even some new board games when we arrived.
Faultless weekend, can’t recommend enough!
Fabulous location and property, perfect for large parties
We stayed in Toft Hall for a multi generation get together. The house is massive and beautiful, well suited to all ages (we had pensioners and small children) with more than enough space for our 20 guests and 5 dogs. The lovely enclosed garden was well utilised by everyone & we ate outside every night. We also hired a hot tub from a recommended 3rd Party supplier which was great, they dealt directly with the Party Houses team to get in and set it up for our stay, I didn’t have to do anything extra. Every room in the house was well decorated & lovely and clean with everything you’d need.
Had a wonderful stay over at Chels Barn for a 30th birthday in December. I got to experience for the first time the lovely Peak District. Chels Barn was the perfect venue to do this from. The venue was clean and well decorated, and the dining room was huge so we could all sit together comfortably! Would recommend to walk down to the Royal Oak in Rushton for the Sunday lunch. Can’t wait to return to this part of the world!
