From the South
Firstly reach Leek in Staffordshire Moorlands (either via M1 junction 23, then take the A50 towards Stoke and Uttoxeter and the A515 to Ashbourne before picking up the A523 towards Leek, and Manchester). Alternatively take the M6 to junction 15 and take the A500 through Stoke before turning onto the A53 to Leek.

From Leek follow the A53 towards Buxton for about 3 miles. You will pass a large pub called the Three Horseshoes and then start climbing a hill (at this point you will see The Roaches climbing rocks ahead on your left). A little further on take a left turn in Upper Hulme. After 2-300 m take the first left (there may be a sign here to The Potting Shed), continuing through the industrial hamlet. Stay on this road for approx ¾ mile. Approximately 200m past the Roaches Tea Room turn right over the cattle grid. Drive up the gravel lane towards and around the rocks. Roaches Hall is at the end of this lane.

From the North
Follow a map to Buxton in Derbyshire and leave Buxton on the A53 to Leek. Enjoy the scenic views over the hills and after a few miles you will start going down a hill (you will notice the wonderful rock formations on your right hand side at this point).

Turn right into Upper Hulme. Drive past the Rock Inn and take a sharp right towards the industrial hamlet. Stay on this road for approx ¾ mile. Approximately 200m past the Roaches Tea Room turn right over the cattle grid. Drive up the gravel lane towards and around the rocks. Roaches Hall is at the end of this lane.

Public Transport
Unfortunately no buses directly pass Roaches Hall. The local Moorlands Bus can be ordered during the week to take you anywhere in the Moorlands. If arriving at Roaches Hall by train the nearest stations are:- Buxton (Manchester/Sheffield line) or Macclesfield or Stoke on Trent (London Euston – West Coast Main Line). Manchester Airport is approx 35 miles
