Weddings

Party Houses are great venues from which to base your wedding weekend. We do not have wedding licences ourselves but if you want a lovely small venue for your closet friends and family to stay – we may be the perfect answer.

So many of our wedding party guests comment on how much nicer it is to have a whole weekend with those they love, rather than the more usual rush of just seeing them on the wedding day (along with many others)!

There are plenty of lovely local churches.

Ashbourne's register office, within the Town Hall, is an elegant Victorian building offering a graceful backdrop to special occasions. There are two marriage rooms offering space for up to 35 or 150 people.

Buxton
Does not have a Registry Office but you can get married at
The Pavillion Gardens, St Johns Road, Buxton

The have various facilities including an interesting alternative venue - The Bandstand! (seating for up to 55 guests) or the Conservatory (again seating up to 55 guests). http://www.paviliongardens.co.uk/banquetsweddings/civilweddings.htm  You can just have your wedding ceremony here or you can also have the wedding banquet too.
 
Thorncliffe
 
Again, if you are looking for a venue for the ceremony only (or you can also have the wedding banquet too), try The Mermaid at Thorncliffe.  This pub has fantastic views accross to the Roaches (assuming its a clear day!).  Do call Barabra on 01538 300253.
 
 
If you are looking for a large wedding venue, Heaton House Farm is only c 1 ˝ miles from Toft Hall, Toft Barn and Chels Barn.
