![]() Home / About Us - Party Houses / About Us - Party HousesParty Houses welcomed our first guests back in 2004. Since then we have welcomed approximately a further 60,000 guests – many several times over! We are not an agency, but own all our Party Houses, so you deal directly with the owners.
We only have properties for larger groups, so we understand the complexities of arranging getting lots of folks away together. As a consequence you will find us flexible and helpful. Booking a Party House is meant to be a joy – not a complex task! If you have any questions at all please just call us on 01260226609. Our Philosophy Party Houses offer great venues specially designed for larger groups to get away together. We try to make organising your break as easy as possible, whether it is for a celebration, family holiday, reunion or an event with work colleagues.
Great Quality and Value All our Party Houses have 4 or 5 star gradings from Visit Britain. They are full of quality fittings, such as granite work surfaces, large Dualit toasters, handmade mattresses, leather sofas, etc, yet are robust enough for you to be able to relax and enjoy yourself. All Party Houses are special. Ranging from a Jacobean Hall to converted barns, to a grand Victorian gentleman’s residence – each is unique, full of character to add a special flavour to your gathering. Yet they are great value. We don’t pay commission to agencies, so you get the benefits of value pricing. Wonderful Locations All our Party Houses are situated in lovely locations and all have lots of their own private outdoor space. There are no shared games rooms or gardens. The venue is exclusively yours! Additionally all are in the wonderful Peak District – located in the heart of England. This makes them easy to travel to from most parts of the country – very important if you are organising just a short break. The nearest station is Stoke (approximately just 95 minutes from London Euston). Plenty to do – rain or shine! There is so much to do locally. See our Year Round Calendar, Introduction to the Peak District, or our many web pages on specialist activities. Please call us if you want further ideas or itinerary suggestions for your own party. Local Suppliers You will find on this site links to lots of local suppliers recommended by previous guests to make your break even more special. See the ‘Planning Your Visit’ section. If there is something you are looking for and not listed here, please call us and we will do our best to help. Little Touches We do try to think of everything you may need during your visit (after all you have enough to do enjoying yourselves!). Therefore we have a number of little touches which can make all the difference; for example, dressing up boxes and dolls houses for the little ones, numerous vases for your fresh flowers, door hangers so you can allocate bedrooms to named guests, flipcharts for our corporate guests, ‘Oh No!’ Boxes (in case you or your guests have forgotten something essential such as toothpaste), etc. Do let us know if you have any special requests we can help with. All welcome We believe strongly that you should be able to invite all your chosen guests. Where architecture allows, we build ground floor bedrooms and wet rooms for guests with less mobility. See our section on accessibility for full details of the Party Houses structure. We can lend you ramps, shower stools or even a Deafguard for those hard of hearing so they can be alerted (via lights and vibration) should the fire alarms go off. We take health and safety very seriously and for this reason (unlike most self catering accommodation) you will find your Party House equipped with fire alarm systems and, in most cases, emergency lighting. Pets Welcome
We also welcome your favourite dogs (although there is a small extra charge to ensure the housekeepers have enough time to ensure no hairs are left behind for future guests)!
Caring for the Environment
The Peak District is such a beautiful place we hope you will help us to do our bit to care for it's future. Please take a look at our Caring for our Environment.
Meet some of the team:-
Alan & Christopher (Maintenance) – As you can imagine Party Houses take a lot of maintaining to keep them up to our high standards. Alan and Christopher know a dozen different ways of solving every maintenance challenge we have! They have worked with Party Houses for over 6 years so know and love our Party Houses as much as we do.
Brian and Neil (Gardeners) – Brian and Neil are the lucky gentlemen who make our gardens look beautiful. Many we have built from scratch from original meadows etc. Brian grows all the bedding plants for our lovely summer hanging baskets from seed himself. Chris (Decorating) – Party Houses can be compared to the Forth Road Bridge! There
Becky (Housekeeping) – Becky started working with Party Houses in the summer of 2008 and immediately made a difference with some fresh ideas at Hamps Hall and Barn.
Nikki (Guest Experience Manager) – Nikki spends her time making sure the quality of Party Houses is up to that which you would expect. She loves meeting guests and also changing the colour of our bedroom walls!
