Competition Rules

By entering this Competition, anyone who enters the Competition (an “Entrant”) will be deemed to have understood these Rules along with the Terms and Conditions and to be bound by them.


1. Details of the Competition

The Party Houses Corporate competition (the "Competition") is open to residents of the UK aged 18 and over. The Competition is not open to employees or agencies of Party Houses Limited, their family members or anyone else connected to the Competition.
Entry into the Competition is upon acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted and joint submissions are not allowed. No responsibility is taken for entries that are lost, delayed, misdirected or incomplete or cannot be delivered or entered for any technical or other reason.
Proof of delivery of the Entry is not proof of receipt. The competition closes at midnight on 31 December 2009. The winner will be picked at random.
The judges' decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into. The determination and decision of Party Houses Limited on all matters shall be final and no promotional correspondence will be entered into. Party Houses Limited reserve the right in their reasonable discretion: (a) to disqualify any claimant, competitor or nominee whose conduct is contrary to the spirit of the rules or the intention of the promotion and to declare as void any or all of their claims or entries based on such conduct; or (b) where there has been error(s) in any aspect of the preparation for or conduct of the promotion materially affecting the result of the promotion or the number of claimants or the value of claims; (c) to add to or to waive any rules on reasonable notice; and/or (d) to cancel the promotion or any part of it at any stage in the event of circumstances beyond PHL's reasonable control.
Gifts, prizes and other promotional items are not transferable, may not be re-sold and are subject to availability. PHL reserve the right in their reasonable discretion to substitute any such gift, prize or item with a gift, prize or item of equal value.

2. Eligibility

Employees and agents of Party Houses Limited ("PHL") or any company connected with the production or distribution of a promotion or any of their associated companies are not eligible to take part in the applicable promotion, nor are their relatives or members of their families or households. Unless expressly stated for a particular promotion, promotions are restricted to residents of the United Kingdom, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man aged 18 years or over. Proof of eligibility must be provided on request.
Failure to claim a gift, prize or other promotional item by the time or in the manner specified for the particular promotion will make any claim invalid. No responsibility is accepted for entries damaged, lost or mislaid and proof of posting will not be accepted as proof of delivery. No applications will be accepted by agents, in bulk or from third parties
An Entrant must participate in the Competition himself or herself. In the event that a party other than the Entrant attempts to enter the Competition on behalf of that Entrant (whether disclosed or not), that entry will be forfeited and no Prize will be delivered.


3. Prize

The winner will receive a mid-week self-catering break for up to 15 guests at the Party House of their choice.
Taxes, meals, living expenses, travel insurance, and other costs not specifically associated with the prize are the responsibility of the winner.
The prize is non-transferable to any other person(s), or destination(s). There is no cash alternative. No spending money is included. The prize is subject to availability, cannot be taken during Christmas and New Year Holiday and other restricted days. The prize must be booked by 30 December 2009 and taken by 30 March 2010. The winner will be notified via email by 15 January 2010.
