On arival at Merrymeet please park to the top of the property or down the slope at the rear (please do not park on the lane outside!). There are car parking spaces for up to 7 cars. To help the environment (and yourselves!) by not being stuck in traffic please check traffic conditions before you travel; in case there is a holdup and you wish to plan a different route. From the South and East
Leave the M1 at junction 23A. Follow signs to Stoke and Uttoxeter on A50. Continue to the turning off to Ashbourne A515. Take this road until you reach Ashbourne and then follow the signs for A523 to Leek. Continue on this road until you reach Waterhouses village. In the centre of the village (immediately past the The George pub) turn right onto Waterfall Lane. Follow this lane round, until you reach Waterfall village (about 1 mile). Turn left in the village (by the small green), go past The Red Lion Inn and follow the road down the hill (about 1/4 mile) into the little vally. Continue along the valley (about 1/4 mile) and Merrymeet will be in front of you as the road bends by the small brook.

From North and West
Travel to Leek in the Staffordshire Moorlands. Continue through Leek following signs for A523 to Ashbourne. After c 7 miles you enter the village of Waterhouses. In the centre of the village (immediately before the The George pub) turn left onto Waterfall Lane. Follow this lane round, until you reach Waterfall village (about 1 mile). Public Transport
Unfortunately, no buses directly past Hamps Hall, but the 108 Macclesfield/Ashbourne bus stops in Waterhouses (about one mile), tel: 0871 2002233. The nearest mainline stations are Stoke on Trent (c 19 miles), Macclesfield or Derby (c 21 miles) for trains to London and the East and West coast. It is only c 1 hour 35 minutes from London Euston to Stoke on Trent staion. The nearest airports are Manchester (c 1 hour) or Nottingham/East Midlands (c 1 hour).
